Not everybody can afford a vibrating silicone facial cleanser that costs over £200, so sometimes a budget version will have to do.
At the cheaper end of the market, the cleansing brushes are limited in what they can do. The waterproof brush from Fashion Base with a price of around £12 has different vibration speeds so you can control how fast or slow it goes – and that’s it. It is said to be able to unclog pores and blackheads, minimise acne scaring and promote bright skin due to its massaging capabilities.
I used this at night, and the next morning I did notice a big difference. My face felt smooth – even straight after using it – and somewhat glow-ey. The point of these devices is to help penetrate the cleansing product further into your skin, as well as massage your face to rid of dirt in the pores.

After a few uses, which was at most three times a week, I stopped noticing a big difference. Maybe I was getting used to seeing the results? I now only tend to use it when I feel my skin needs a deeper clean, or when I have worn heavier make-up. What I have noticed is that it tends to bring spots to the surface. That’s a positive, right?
Seeing as this product is budget friendly, and it’s the only one I have used, I cannot compare it to something more expensive such as the FOREO LUNA 3 which retails for £219. If you like to indulge in a skincare routine and want something extra whilst cleansing, it might be fun to invest in a silicone facial brush.
