EDITOR’S CURRENT SKINCARE FAVOURITES

Depending on the time of the year, skin will likely need different things. As we battle through gloomy January (although I quite like grey days), it can be nice to pick yourself up with a skincare treat. Here are a few I’m personally enjoying this month…

Glossier Solution, £19
I have so many good things to say about this product, which you can read in full here. My skin struggles with breakouts, and when I use this, it seems to get rid of them faster than when I don’t use it. I actually only use this product every other day or less now, as I felt it made my skin a little too drying, but every time I do use it, it works miracles for me.

Chanel Le Gommage Anti-Pollution Exfoliating Gel, £37
Due to the price and the luxurious feeling of using the product, I tend to use it at most twice a week. The fragrance is lovely, and the jojoba beads make your face feel so smooth after without scratching the skin.

Sugar Coated Vegan Wax Strips
Having first used this product only last week, I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing it is. I highly recommend this to those who hate using pre-gelled wax strips, and want something less painful and more gentle on the skin.

The Ordinary Squalene Cleanser, £5.50
Getting that make-up off before bed is such an important step, and this cleanser is one of the best I’ve found. The one I was using before smelt of cooking oil and dripped everywhere. This one is not like that at all. Afterwards, I go in with another cleanser as I feel any product that is a bit ‘oilier’ to remove make-up feels too greasy if left on the skin.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, £15
In these skin drying times due to cold weather, a good hydrating cleanser is the way to go. This melts onto the skin and is a dream to use. Afterwards, my parched skin is left feeling smooth and supple. I only use this occasionally when needed, and every time it does the job.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub, £12.95
I have been using this scrub for nearly four years, and don’t intend to stop. It is gritty and probably too scratchy, but it leaves my skin extra smooth and has been a life saver pre-make-up on many a dry skin mornings. I used to use the cleanser too, mainly as a daily mask, but this is the one product I kept using. Because of its strong ingredients, I only use it once or twice a week, or when needed.

All products originally bought by MODAN apart from Sugar Coated which was given by PR. All opinions the Editor’s own
