Weleda are known for their natural skincare which they have been producing for over 100 years. They grow their own plants locally to use in their products, and even Victoria Beckham uses their award-winning must-have item, Skin Food.
Personally, I have been dipping in and out of Weleda products for a number of years. They have been hit or miss for my skin, but isn’t that just like every other brand out there? Yes.
The Almond collection focuses on sensitive skin, the type that struggles with harsher chemicals. This fragrance-free cream includes almond oil to soothe easily irritated skin, helping to calm it and hydrate. It has a thick consistency due to it being for dry skin, so if you’re more combination/oily, I would suggestion the lotion instead.
After cleansing the face, I used the cream to moisturise my skin. A little goes along way, so make sure not to over-do it! It can take a few minutes for it to sink in, so bare that in mind if you’re applying make-up.
After a few uses I felt my skin was feeling lovely and supple, but noticed a few extra spots appearing. I do not want to put it down to using this product, but I’m thinking that maybe the thickness of the cream just isn’t suited to my skin.
Overall, it’s a great product to try if you’re suffering from dry skin, especially because of the effects of cold weather. It did feel tacky on my skin, but maybe I was still applying too much? Give it ago, and let me know what you think!
